My family and I have always adopted rescue dogs and would never even consider purchasing a dog from a breeder or pet store.  We currently have three rescue dogs.  I have been working with rescues for the past couple of years and highly recommend it to others.  It is a very rewarding experience and there are so many dogs that need help in finding their loving, caring forever homes.  Any time that you can give to assist a rescue does so much for these dogs.
